Two reasons why we
want you to watch Vallamai Tharayo: ‘Parthiban’s naturalistic
performance and Chaya Singh’s comeback with good performance’. Are
only these things that elevate the film? Of course, commencing her
directorial venture with an emotional drama, Madhumitha hasn’t
done a commendable job. Tripping whole of finesses and dragging
screenplay in the second half and indeed many aspects are those
that stop this film from hitting bull’s eyes.
What’ so special with the story? Does it sound appealing for the
masses, especially for the women community? May the flick seems to
a woman-centric, but has the partial traces of Mani Rathnam’s
yesteryear movie Mouna Ragam. A woman seeking divorce from her
husband for a simple reason that he is a good hearted person and
this was the storyline revealed prior to release. Here we bring
the synopsis and well analyzed of our team….
The film opens with the scenario of Nanditha (Chaya Singh) walking
away free from her husband Anand (Parthiban) after seeking
divorce. What led her to take up such a drastic step is revealed
with the flashback. Back in the past, Nanditha is a jovial girl
leading a happy life with her dad (Anand Raj) and mom (Kuyili).
Falling in love with her cousin boy (Srikanth), both of them have
no idea other than getting married. But as cliché, there rises
whole lot oppositions from Nandita’s dad who thought of getting
his daughter married to Anand. Stringent situations force her
abide her dad’s order and there you find both Nandita and Anand
entering into nuptials.
But sooner, unable to forget her lovable one, she decides to get
divorced and then lead an independent life. As you know, the
flashback gets over here and second half deals with Anand trying
to convince Nanditha and get united with her. Does he join hands
with Nanditha or not forms crux of the story?
Chaya Singh does laudable performance, but at most of the part is
spotted with angered face and at rest crying all the way. Nothing
is to be blamed on her part, for its Madhumitha’s direction.
Parthiban with trimmed looks and naturalistic performance turns
spotlight on him. Other star casts including Srikanth who appears
only for few minutes has spelled good acting.
Music by Bharadwaj is not appealing and couple of melodious songs
are worthy listening while rest of the songs are not more
convincing and so does his background score.
Valuating this film on whole, the two reasons are the only aspects
for which you can watch it and nothing more you can expect from
Madumitha. This is not a fine start from her and she should have
well worked on certain attributes that would have won her laurels.
